12 Thoughts #3

A magazine inspired graphic titled 12 Thoughts

Hello and happy Wednesday from London! After inspiration from Sam, I am putting my own twist on 12 Thoughts! The real challenge now is narrowing down my thoughts to 12. Let’s see how I do!

  1. Bad Sisters on Apple TV+ - Ever since spending an incredible week in Chicago with Sam last month where we binged a movie every single night, she has got me on an AppleTV+ kick. After I quickly finished all of her incredible recs I had to scope out my own. Bad Sisters is a 10/10 short series for me. I’m a sucker for any Irish or English film/series and this murder mystery had me on the edge of my seat whilst somehow also reminding me how thankful I am for all of the incredible women I have in my life. It will make you appreciate the females that feel like sisters! Murder and friendship, what more could you ask for?

  2. Psycle - I am here to join the bandwagon of being a full convert to cycle classes. Psycle is a company here in London that hosts arguably the best spin classes I’ve ever taken. Think night club meets synchronized swimming - but all on a bike. It’s truly one of the hardest classes I’ve taken but the instructors, playlists, and overall vibe cannot be beaten. Hopping on a flight to London and trying out a class might be out of reach, but you can check out their Instagram here (their socials are 10/10 as well).

  3. ClassPass - speaking of workout classes, ClassPass has been a savior for me since coming back to London and wanting to trial-test new workout classes. From other cycle bars to reformer pilates, they really have it all (and for a good price). If you’re wanting to try ClassPass too, you can get 20 free credits and a free trial to start with this link.

  4. Spontaneity - I’m a gal who loves a time-blocked schedule, but ever since returning to London I’ve been saying yes to plans with people I’ve never met before and have tried to fit in a few fun things on weekdays. This is your reminder to put yourself out there, the worst that happens is you don’t have fun!

  5. Busy Bee’s @ On Brand - We’ve signed quite a few new clients over the past few months and we are close to filling up all of our full social strategy management availability for a while. We are so excited to be working with so many incredible clients! If you want to grab one of the last spots, you can inquire with us here.

  6. Dolly Alderton - One of my favorite authors there is. I’m currently reading her newest book “Dear Dolly” after reading her “Everything I Know About Love” last year and to sound like the biggest cliche, it truly changed me. It had a heavy emphasis on the importance of female friendships and god was I dry heave, ugly crying at the end. Her style of writing is just beautiful. “Dear Dolly” has to do with a compilation of all of the pieces people wrote in to her when she was an Agony Aunt at The Sunday Times Style. I’m not too far in but she also recs and references a few other incredible female writers. She is sublime.

  7. World of Books - I think I am stealing Sam’s brand here with all of the reading recs. Although, she is a Kindle girl so I think I can have this one ;) I bought a recycled copy of “Dear Dolly” off of Amazon, but I recommend you grab yours from World of Books. I’ve used it to purchase a few design books that tend to be quite pricey. They’ve never not had a book I’ve been looking for. They have it in the US too, you can check it out here.

  8. Redken Acidic Bonding - I am a former brunette turned fake blonde for the past 5 years. I have been searching high and low for a product that will leave my hair looking fresh in color and feeling fresh overall. Redken Acidic Bonding Shampoo, Conditioner, and leave-in treatment does it for me. I got mine on Amazon, I’m unsure if it’s carried at Sephora or Ulta. My fake blondes - if you have tips, please slide in my IG DM's!

  9. Underground Dates & Dive Bars - A few weeks ago I went on a date where our location of the evening was an underground, 18th-century bathroom. I haven't been able to find the name of it still, but I’m happy to report the location nor the date was stinky.

  10. Cafe Bustelo - Have I mentioned I’m living in London? Ever since moving back, I have invested in a Nespresso which means I’ve been missing my favorite drip coffee of all time, Cafe Bustelo. A little bit of that with some Chobani oat milk, mm! I sense an Amazon order coming soon.

  11. Orange Slice and Everything Nice - With summer on the verge, I find that anytime I am out and so is the sun, I just so happen to be ordering an Aperol Spritz. My favorite summer drink! What's yours?

  12. A Night on the Town - I’ll leave you with some good tunes for my final thought - Rod Stewart's “A Night on the Town” album. I recently learned he originally wrote ‘The First Cut Is the Deepest’ and I’ve been hooked on the album since.

Truth is, I have a lot more than 12 thoughts but I’ll spare you for now. I hope you all enjoyed my take on Sam’s great trend. Catch you next time!

Cheers,

Traci
